- You need:
- Step 1: apply foil

- Step 4: painting
- Build a hanging basket
You need:
- Two sturdy raffia baskets
- Foil or plastic bag for lining
- Needle, thread
- three long and three short branches with a diameter of 4 to 5 cm (alternatively bamboo sticks or logs are also suitable)
- drilling machine
- six M8 locksmith screws 8 cm long
- six M8 nuts
- 6 to 12 washers with a diameter of 2 to 3 cm
- Parcel tape
- weatherproof paint spray
- Potting soil
- Hanging plants
Step 1: apply foil
Cut the tear-resistant film accordingly and line the baskets with it - the edge is folded over so that a clean end edge is created. Then sew the foil onto the baskets with a needle and thread.

Attach the film to the basket.

Step 2: attach the legs
The choice of legs determines the style of your flower stand. If you choose a rustic version with branches, they must be smooth, clean and without bark in order to be able to paint them later. Cut the legs to the desired length, then mark the height of the baskets and drill holes there.

If you want to build a flower stand, now prepare the legs.

Step 3: make the flower stand stable
Connect the legs and the raffia basket with lock screws. First pass the screws through the leg and then through the braid of the basket. Put on the washers and screw them tight with the nut. Caution: Do not over tighten, otherwise the basket will splinter! Three short branches ensure stability. Tie these tightly to your legs with a package cord.

Connect the legs to the raffia basket.

Step 4: painting
Paint everything with spray. Finally, fill the baskets with soil and plant them as desired.

Finally, you can paint your flower stand in the color of your choice.

Build a hanging basket
If you don't want to build a flower stand, but rather a hanging basket, do without the legs and hang the basket on three sisal ropes. For tight meshes, you have to pull the wire loops through the basket and tie the rope to them.

If you prefer to make a hanging basket, leave out the legs and hang the basket on sisal ropes.
