Step-by-step instructions for building the swing chair
Step 1: cutting
First cut all wooden elements according to the blueprint and then smooth the edges.

Step 2: screw it together
Now the substructure is screwed on at a right angle. The form frames can then be screwed to the substructure and glued with wood glue.

Step 3: screw on
When screwing the seat strips onto the form frames, you can use a small spacer (three millimeters) to insert between the individual strips. So each bar has the same distance to the next one.

When screwing on the seat strips, you should ensure that there is an even distance between the individual pieces of wood.

Step 4: drilling
Once you have screwed on all the seat rails, you can now drill the holes for hanging the swing on the sides and saw the threaded rods to size.
Step 5: painting
Once the swing is screwed together so far, you can still paint it in your desired color. Don't forget to coat the paint with weatherproof boat varnish.

Step 6: completion
Finally, the eyelet nuts are screwed together with the threaded rods and cap nuts. Then it is time to cut the steel suspension chains according to the requirements and fasten them with carabiners.
If you decide to make a self-standing wooden construction, you must ensure that it is stable and stable.

Choose a swing chain (for example, cromox® stainless steel chains) that is made of high-quality, rustproof stainless steel and is quality-tested.
