Video: DIY: Craft idea: Sisal plant basket homemade

Rattan, raffia or sisal - natural materials have lost their dusty image and are currently celebrating their comeback away from grandma's attic. Verena from the lifestyle blog "About Verena" wraps a sisal cord into an individual plant basket in her craft idea for Etsy.
Material:
- 10 meters of sisal rope with a thickness of 10mm (e.g. from the hardware store)
- Flowerpot of any size as a template
- Hot glue gun
- Scissors or a cutter knife

Crafting instructions:
Step 1: First turn the flowerpot upside down and start rolling up the sisal tape on the underside like a snail. Put a little hot glue in the space between the lines and press down gently. Continue screwing in until the sisal snail is the size of the underside of the flowerpot.

Step 2: Now stick a new piece of sisal cord all around on the last snail ring. Apply hot glue at least every two to three centimeters, otherwise there will be too many gaps that leak the basket. Then gradually glue the sisal rope upwards with the underlying sisal cord until the desired height of the basket is reached.

Step 3: Finally cut the rope with scissors, twist a little and glue it inside with a dab of glue into the basket. Now lift the flowerpot out of the sisal basket. If necessary, use the cutter knife to remove adhesive residue from the basket and place a plant of your choice in the pot. The sisal basket is ready.
