DIY: Upcycling: flower shelf with peonies

Peonies not only look chic in bouquets, but will soon also appear on your wall: old wooden boxes can be used to make flower shelves with an eye-catcher guarantee. This is how upcycling works in summer!

You need:

• Wooden boxes
• Test tubes or small glasses
• Colorful masking tape, crepe paper, colorful cardboard from the craft store
• Decorative cord (color of your choice)
• Hole saw or flat milling drill
• Peonies (other flowers are of course also possible)

How to do it:

Step 1:

Drill four holes per wooden box. To do this, the diameter of the test tubes must be measured and marked on the boxes. It is best to use a hole saw or a flat milling drill to get beautiful round cutouts afterwards.

Then you can glue the masking tape or cardboard with the right color from the inside.

Step 2:

Now wrap the test tubes or glasses with the decorative cord and knot them tightly. The cord ensures that the glasses do not slip through the holes. So pay attention to the diameter of the glasses when drilling.

Step 3:

Now enclose the peonies with colorful crepe on the flower and also wrap them with the decorative cord. Place the test tubes in the prepared holes on the shelf, fill with water and place flowers. Now attach the shelf - your upcycling flower shelf is ready!
