Video: Apartment as a gallery

An apartment in the 9th arrondissement in Paris is used as an art gallery. However, it should look as if someone lives here. See the extraordinary project here.
There is a very special art studio in the ninth arrondissement in Paris, very close to the Lafayette gallery. The artist and owner, Amélie, had an apartment created as a total work of art in an old building from the 18th century. It should look like someone lives here. In truth, you should only feel at home while looking at her art. An extraordinary concept that not only inspires design and art lovers.
With a total budget of 200, 000 euros, the old apartment was renovated and completely refurbished. Wood and marble are the main materials used in the new interior. The project was implemented by the architecture firm Batiik Studio in Paris. For them it was one of the most exciting projects that they have implemented recently. The interior designers specialize in so-called micro-apartments such as Marie-Joséphine or Achille. In the Amélie project, the architecture had to be deliberately pushed into the background so that the art can be fully appreciated. The minimalist kitchen serves as a reception and the floor itself as a work of art.
Although there are many glazed areas, the interior designers have found ways to present all of the pieces together with the artist. So one or the other picture hangs in the shower or on the ceiling - why not, after all, nobody really lives here. In addition to wood and screed, marble is also an important material on a total area of 200 square meters.

Wherever you look, there is art everywhere: on the ceiling, on the floor and of course on the walls. The entire apartment is an art project.
