A creative wall design does not necessarily have to be motley. It doesn't matter whether you like your walls colorful or simple. We show you different ideas on how you can bring out the walls in every room and thus create a harmonious atmosphere.
White walls, yellow walls or green walls: it depends on the mix. There are more and more possibilities to design our rooms and walls creatively and individually - whether with colors, tiles, pictures or wallpaper. There are no limits to your imagination, but you should make every room suitable for everyday use and harmonious. After all, you don't want to renovate every six months. First of all, you should consider what each room radiates and what mood it should convey. For example: The study should exude calm and clarity at best, the bedroom security and warmth. In the living room or dining room, it can then be more sociable and bright in color, this also applies to the kitchen. Ultimately, it is always a question of personal taste. So it should be your favorite colors or patterns. Design the rooms so that you can feel comfortable there every day.
Wall design with color in the living room
The living room is the heart of our home. We often spend the evening here or enjoy cozy hours with friends and family. This room can therefore also live in terms of color and design. The extent to which we can let off steam with colors depends on the size of the room. The rule is: the larger the room, the higher the walls, the braver we can be. Rule of thumb: If a room has less than 20 square meters, it is best to use bright wall colors. If the room is larger, you can also dare to use rich, matt and dark wall colors. If you don't want to or can't hang pictures, there is the possibility (with a little skill and artistic talent) to bring different shapes with color to the wall. We show you how to bring such an oval pattern to your wall below in the article.

Warm and earthy tones are particularly suitable for large rooms.

Creative wall design in the dining room:
In the dining area, the conversations should just be gushing. Here we want to enjoy the finest food and interesting conversations. So make this room cheerful and airy. The communicative colors include above all yellow and green and all pastel shades, as can often be found in the Scandinavian style.

Wall design with color in the bedroom:
The bedroom is our personal and very private retreat. Here we want to relax and recharge our batteries. The feel-good factor must be 100 percent right here. Warm and rich tones can help you bring peace and security into the room.

Wall paint for the bathroom:
At best, our bathroom is our wellness location, where we should feel at least as comfortable as in the bedroom. Warm and delicate colors, but also the cozy greenery look are ideal for the bathroom or the guest toilet. However, since it is a wet room, you should use suitable paint such as lime paint or silicate paint. They prevent moisture from getting into the walls - this prevents mold from forming.

If you rely on colorful furniture and accessories, you should keep the color on the wall discreet.

Creative wall design in the children's room:
Here you can let off steam in the truest sense of the word: in the children's room it can be a bit more playful. You have the option of painting the walls in bright colors, applying wallpaper with motifs or also occasionally wall tattoos - these are particularly suitable if you want to leave the walls in one color.

Colorful motifs, colors and shapes create a happy and cozy atmosphere in the children's room.

Design the walls in the study:
Whether you work here in the home office or just sort your documents from time to time: the study should exude calm and clarity. Because you can only work well in a tidy environment. Unless you are active in a creative industry where creative chaos can prevail - so the vernacular. Warm and calm tones such as aubergine or cold, clear colors such as blue are therefore suitable for the study. Here you should agree on a color and not start large color experiments.

Warm and subtle colors create a calm and clear mood in the study.

Color the hallway:
The entrance area is our business card. The hallway is often too small or tubular. Here you can achieve great things with little tricks. You can “stretch” the hallway, for example by painting the long side walls in a light color and the short walls in a darker color. When designing the hallway, you should make sure that the colors are inviting and bright.

A narrow hallway can be made larger with individual color accents.

Clear structure - wall design with geometric shapes:
Whether circles, rhombuses, stripes or triangles: if you want to highlight a wall, you can do it with shapes. There are stencils in almost every hardware store that you can use. Test the background color beforehand on a small piece of wood to ensure that it really meets your expectations. Read tips on painting walls here.

If you only want to stage one wall, the best way to do it is with geometric shapes.

Paint the oval design on the wall:
And so you paint an oval design on your wall! You need the following:
- Your desired color
- A roll of paint
- A paint tray
- A solid sheet of paper or cardboard that is larger than the oval you want to paint
- Masking tape
- A pencil
- chalk
- A paintbrush
- A scissors

With this method you can highlight pieces of furniture such as shelves and thereby visually enlarge the room.

Step by step to individual wall design
Step 1: select the surface area
If you have chosen the background color, you should make sure that you are really satisfied after the first coat. Otherwise you have the option of painting over the color in a different tone.
Step 2: draw the shape
Draw the desired (oval) shape on paper and then cut it out.
Step 3: attach the mold
Now stick the oval on the wall with the help of masking tape.
Step 4: Mark with chalk
Now trace the shape with chalk and then remove the masking tape and the paper from the wall.
Step 5: apply paint
Now apply paint along the inner edge with the brush and spread out the rest with the paint roller. Now all you have to do is let it dry well.
