Video: Recipe for light mulled wine with sea buckthorn

This makes winter time a pleasure: This year a light mulled wine sweetened our lives. It becomes particularly fresh, fruity and colorful when mixed with a little sea buckthorn sauce.
You need:
½ vanilla pod |
500 ml white wine (e.g. Riesling) |
150 ml apple juice |
80 ml sea buckthorn sauce |
1 lemon and orange peel each |
2 tablespoons of sugar |
mild honey at will |
How to do it:
- Halve the vanilla pod and slit lengthways. Put the wine in a saucepan with the apple juice, the sea buckthorn sauce, vanilla bean and pulp, lemon and orange peel and the sugar.
- Place the mixture on the stove and heat. Remove the spices and aromatics with a slotted spoon. Season the mulled wine with honey as you like and serve it hot in glasses.
Tip: So that you can serve the mulled wine as hot as possible, we recommend preheating the glasses or cups.
