As long as the TV is switched on, it remains a real eye-catcher. But when switched off, it reminds of a black spot on the wall, which also takes up a lot of space unnecessarily. In the worst case, the television is a real disturbing factor in the room, which is only tolerated for entertainment in the room. There are many different ways to discreetly hide the screen or even integrate it into the interior. We have put together a selection of product options and a selection of product examples for you here.
Hide the TV in a closet
While the television used to be a status symbol and was often placed as a highlight in the middle of a living room shelf, today it wanders behind the closet door. Wall cupboards with a sliding door that can be opened and closed at any time are best suited for this - without taking up space in the room. At the same time, you can store many other utensils in the cupboard, such as the children's game consoles.

Hide the TV as a painting
A screen that resembles a painting? Samsung has been pursuing this approach since 2018 with the following models.
"The Frame" from Samsung
Samsung's “The Frame” model combines television and art in one. As soon as you switch off the television, the usual black picture does not remain on the wall. Instead, the TV shows high-quality works of art or, if you like, your own photos. At first glance it cannot be seen that this is not a real painting. Price: from 1, 199 euros.

With "The Frame" you put an end to the black spot on the wall. As a member of the Samsung Art Store, you even have unlimited access to over 1000 works of art from world-famous galleries, museums and photo agencies.

"Ambient mode" from Samsung
Similar to "The Frame", "Ambient Mode" also works in the Samsung QLED TVs, for example the Q9FN model. Have either pictures, the weather or the time displayed. The highlight: the screen optionally merges optically with the wall behind it. All you have to do is take a picture of the wall around your TV using the SmartThings app, the device will analyze the photo and automatically create the appropriate picture piece to reconstruct your wall - so the TV is almost invisible. Price: from 2, 999 euros.

With the help of "Ambient Mode" from Samsung, the TV blends in harmoniously with the surroundings.

But there is also the option of inserting a television into the floor. In addition, this TV set can even be turned.

"Frame O-Lift" from Flatlift
Flatlift combines two solutions in one: the television is camouflaged as a painting using a lift. At the push of a button, a picture, a mirror or even a wall panel moves in front of the television and hides the screen unobtrusively. Even oil and acrylic works of art are suitable for the system, according to the manufacturer. Price on request.
