Video: Colored accents for the ceiling and floor

Paint the ceiling and floor - why not? When we renovate, we mostly only take care of the walls. The ceiling and floor are often neglected. Too bad, because the results can be impressive. In this article we show you how you can color the ceiling and floor. Let yourself be inspired.
Down-to-earth floor paint
Let's start with the base, the floor: Nowadays, with the right technology, color and sealing, you can color almost any floor. This is particularly worthwhile if you want to do without motley walls. A colored floor gives the rooms much more depth and security. Here you can limit yourself to one color, pattern or motif, but you don't have to! These examples show what is possible and harmonious.

The green and blue tones on the floor give the room more depth.

At first glance, a painted floor can look like a large carpet.

Bright stair treads can also be brought to the foreground with color.

It only becomes clear at second glance that this is not a carpet, but a floor painted with color.

Painting the ceiling - looking up

To paint the ceiling, you don't have to start directly at the edge: if you use a lighter shade than on the wall, you can include the first quarter, as in the picture on the right. So the room is visually expanded.

If you have light floors and furniture, you can completely paint the ceiling and thus envelop the room in one color. However, this should only be done if the room has at least 20 square meters and the rest of the interior and the apartment are kept quite bright. Otherwise it looks too gloomy in the long run. The other way around, of course, you can also play with patterns, as in the picture on the right with the wallpapered ceiling. Here the dark blue tone forms a harmonious contrast to the beige wall with the same design.

Paint or wallpaper ceiling - stripes stretch the room

This has long been known for clothing: stretch stripes! And in this case not only the figure, but also the premises - works just as well here as with fashion!
