Video: Simply swipe: Tips for quick swipe

Would you like some color? Whether after a move or simply during a renovation: fresh color on the walls is good not only for our rooms, but also for us. We have put together seven tips for you that make painting the walls easier.
Swipe easier with these 7 steps
Tip 1: Mask the brush carefully
If you mask the upper part of the brush with masking tape before use, it stays clean at this point and you have less to clean.

If you tap the brushes well before the first use, you save a lot of work after painting.

Tips 2 and 3
Mask the can edge with masking tape before painting. This means that no paint can stick to the lid and can rim later. This makes it easier to open the next time you use it. In addition, you can attach one or two strips of masking tape over the opening. So you have an edge where you can easily brush off the brush. This protects the edge of the can from paint residues and you can better dose the paint on the brush.

The tape removes excess paint from the brush.

Tip 4: Take a break
If you are finished with the work in the evening but want to continue working with the same tool the next day, you can do without washing out. For about 24 hours, you can pack the paint rollers or brushes in an airtight bag in a plastic bag or with cling film and then continue to use them without any problems.

If you want to continue painting the next day, you can wrap the roll in foil overnight.

Tip 5: keep the paint
Small remnants can be kept in clean jam or cucumber jars that can be sealed airtight. You should keep this standing on the lid. If it is not exactly white, labeling with color, room and year helps. So you can later correct small flaws on the walls with the right color. You can store the paint in a cool, frost-free place.
Tip 6: clean tub
If you only want to paint small areas with the roller, it is often annoying to wash the paint tray after each color. If you put a thin garbage bag over the tub before pouring the paint into the tub, you can remedy the situation.

If you put a small garbage bag over the tub, you save yourself the annoying scraping of paint.

Tip 7: clean brush
First spread the brush well on a cardboard or other absorbent surface and then, depending on the color used, clean it with warm water, brush cleaner or white spirit.

If you clean the brushes properly, you can use them again for the next renovation.
