Surely on many occasions, we have come across compressed files that need a password to be able to decompress them. This allows for greater security over those files .
We will see how to create a compressed file with password , with 3 of the most popular compression programs: WinRar , 7-Zip and WinZip
Create archive with password in WinRar
Click with the right mouse button on the file that we are going to compress and choose the option Add to file .
On this screen, select the tab Advanced and click on Set password. With this, our file will be protected with the password that we have written .

Click with the right mouse button on the file that we are going to compress and choose the option 7-Zip->Add to archive .
Only, we will have to go to the section Encryption and write the password we want to use .
Create zip file with password in WinZip
We will also right-click on a folder and go to WinZip->Add to Zip file .
In the bottom left, we choose the option Encrypt added files . Clicking on Add will ask us to enter the password we want to use .
