The Windows 8 App Store is installed and enabled by default for all users. This is one of the most interesting novelties of Windows 8 since it allows us to search, install and synchronize apps between our devices in a simple way. But it is likely that for some reason we want to disable the app store For example, in the guest session or for children .
Here we explain how to deactivate the Windows 8 app store .
Disable Windows 8 Store
- Press Windows + W and search for "policy"
- Open Edit group policy
- On the left side we navigate through User Configuration-->Administrative Templates-->Windows Components--> Store

- We double-click on Store and we see an option to D activate the Store application, we double-click on it .
- We select Enabled

In this way, access to the Windows 8 application store will no longer be available. We can follow this same process to activate it, only in the last step we select Not configured.
