With Android 6.0 Marshmallow some simple and useful features have been lost that, for example, we could see in the customization layers that other phones bring. One of them has to do with the battery and that is why we are going to teach you how to display the battery percentage on the Nexus 6P.
Battery percentage on Android 6.0 Marshmallow
With the different versions of Android and some customization layers, the remaining percentage of the phone's battery was shown, something that with “pure” Androidand in this case Android 6.0 Marshmallow, has been lost.
But nothing could be further from the truth because it seems that they have realized this very important detail and have implemented the functionality in Android 6.0 Marshmallow, although it is quite hidden.
To display the battery percentage on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and consequently on the Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X follow these steps:
- Displays the settings panel that you can display by sliding your finger from the top of your Nexus 6P towards the center of the phone.
- Hold the gear button on that Settings panel for a couple of seconds and release, it will display the message “Congratulations, System UI Configurator has been added to Settings”.

This hidden menu brings, among other features, the ability to display the remaining battery percentage in the battery icon on your phone's status bar, next to the clock.
- You can access it by entering the settings menu and going to the bottom where you can see a new menu called “System UI Configurator”inside the “system” section.

- In there you can activate the box called “show inserted battery percentage”. You will go from seeing the simple battery icon without number to see the specific percentage that you need for the next charge of your terminal.

Easy, isn't it? Well, with this you will have activated forever the possibility of seeing at a glance the remaining battery percentage of your terminal.
