The November update of Windows 10 brings a novelty that many users will not like. These are the app suggestions in the Start menu, that is, advertising in our system.
This is clearly a consequence of Windows 10 being distributed as a free upgrade for users of previous versions of Windows 10 and thus it appears that Microsoft wants to earn some revenue.
In spite of everything, it must be said that this advertisement in the Start menu is not invasive and even allows you to disable it, for those users who did not like it.
Therefore, if you see suggested apps in the Start menu you already know that this is an advertisement You may be interested in the app and it is an advertisement relevant to you, it must also be said. But if you find it annoying, Microsoft gives you the possibility to remove them Here's how:
- Open the Start menu
- Enter Settings
- We access Customization
- We move to the tab Home in the side menu
- We deactivate the option “Show suggestions occasionally in Start”
And ready. From now on Windows 10 will stop displaying ads on Start, that is, suggestions for apps to install.
It will be necessary to see if Microsoft decides that users finally do not have this possibility of deactivating app suggestions or if it adds another type of advertising to monetize the operating system that it offers free to users of Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 (only if we update until June 2016).
