Have you received a notification of "Extended WhatsApp Service"? Apparently WhatsAppis sending it to all users and at the moment we don't know the reason. In any case, it seems we shouldn't worry.
Recently we saw that WhatsApp will be free for all users and it could be related. The truth is that said notification is not changing the expiration date of our WhatsApp subscription either.
Anyway, we hope that very soon WhatsApp will be free forever. So if we see a message similar to "Reduced WhatsApp Service", "Extended WhatsApp Service" and "New expiration date is 3/11/2016”, we shouldn't worry.
It could be a WhatsApp error when sending this notification that everyone is receiving. It's not the first time we've seen “Extended WhatsApp Service” either, but this time it would make some sense if WhatsApp was renewed with a lifetime subscription, as recently announced.
