If we enter Messenger.com we see that we now have desktop notificationsLet's remember that this Facebook messaging service allows us to chat with our friends, put stickers and much more. But from now on, we can activate computer notifications to see new Facebook Messenger messages instantly, without having to enter the app itself.
Turn on Messenger desktop notifications
As soon as we enter Messenger.com, we should see that a message appears on top of everything, which is the following:
"Turn on computer notifications to see new messages instantly." This is what they tell us to activate the new Messenger, and thus receive each incoming message as a notice on our desktop.
As soon as we click on Activate, the new thing will be activated.
Turn off Messenger desktop notifications
Of course we can deactivate it whenever we want in Settings > Configuration > Notifications > Disable computer notifications We won't have to do anything else to activate/deactivate desktop notifications, only from the configuration as we see in the following image.
And while we're at it, from here we can also manage the sound, and the rest on Facebook. A new functionality of Facebook Messenger that seems to be well received among the user community, because those who use the service a lot will now be able to see incoming messages without having to open the application.
