Using social networks as bait to hunt users is very common, but SMS is also a great attraction, since even today we use them to receive verifications or simply informative messages. But if you receive a SMS from Sony (supposedly) notifying you of a prize of €1,905,555 Forget it and don't go into the trap, it's a scam Next we'll see what form this SMS has and all the data so you don't fall into the trap.
Through the Telematic Crimes Group of the Civil Guard we have been able to find out this latest hoax that is stalking many users. What happens is that we receive an SMS from Sony that notifies us of a prize of 1,905,555 euros.

If we look at the image, we see a phone number beginning with +44 78 (…). We can also see that an email address appears in which we must claim the prize: spromocion1[email protected] An outgoing email is not reliable to be a Sony award.
Never give out your personal information
The truth is that apparently it seems harmless, but it is not so much if you respond to the SMS because they could charge you a good price. First recommendation: do not reply to the SMS Second recommendation: delete the SMS And of course, pass completely from the email address. Is a gotcha. No way
You are not going to win a prize from Sony without participating in anything, and even if you did, they would not notify you in this way, much less by sending an email to a particular address thathas nothing to do with Sony.
It is another of the many scams that stalk us in this start of 2016. Do not forget the 5 most popular WhatsApp scams of 2015, because some could be repeated. When in doubt you can ask us whenever you want and we will confirm it, but be very careful, especially when giving your personal information.
Have you received this SMS supposedly from Sony? What have you done about it being like this?
