Snapchat is an app that never stops innovating based on a messaging system in which everything we send disappears shortly after being read. Well, now Snapchat adds the new geostickers, which we could translate as "geostickers", that is, a series of images to add to the photos, which depend on our location.

Until now there were geofilters, which are effects that we add to the photos depending on the city in which we are. Geostickers are about a similar concept, but in this case a smaller image is overprinted. Logically, Snapachat geostickers refer to the place where we are.

Snapchat recently added custom stickers, and now it's expanding the possibilities. For example, if we are in Paris, we can send a sticker with the Eiffel Tower What we don't know is if, over time, users will be able to add their own geostickers of their places of residence.

Here are some sample images of these "geostickers" to give you an idea. Of course, in reality its objective is to place them on a photo that we take:

Right now, geostickers have arrived in Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Washington, Honolulu, London, Sydney, Sao Paulo, Paris and Riyadh. We assume that over time they will be launched in more cities, including some in Spain, although Snapchat has not confirmed its future plans for this new feature.

Considering that even Instagram copies Snapchat, the messaging application has to differentiate itself with its innovative ideas. The Snapchat geostickers are an interesting little detail, so I'm sure users will receive them well.

What do you think of this topic? Do you find the geostickers added by Snapchat interesting, or don't you find them too attractive?
