Instagram continues to improve and a new utility is already implemented that will soon reach all users. Instagram already allows you to archive publications, both photos and videos, although at the moment this possibility is not available to everyone.
Some users have encountered this new option today after updating the app. “Archive”, which is what this new Instagram utility is called, will be used to temporarily hide any publication that they have made on their profile. It works in the same way as, for example, the possibility of archiving WhatsApp chats if you don't use them.
We add the temporary word because it is effectively an option to hide any photo or video that we have published on our Instagram profile for as long as we want, since if we want to eliminate it completely there will be the "delete" button”.
If you want to archive posts on Instagram do the following:
- Choose the photo or video that you have published that for any reason you want to “save” temporarily within your account but that you do not want to delete completely.
- Once you have the publication, click on the button with the three vertical dots that appears at the top right and choose the “archive” option from the menu that appears.

- Click on “ file ” and that's it. The publication will be hidden in a new “archive” section that you can retrieve later if you want by clicking on “ show on profile” if you want to show it again on your Instagram profile.

As we already mentioned, this functionality will gradually arrive for all users in the coming days, although if you want you can try updating the Instagram app to see if you already have it available.
The ability to archive Instagram posts will possibly be an option widely used by users because it will allow them to hide any post temporarily if they don't want to delete it completely.
What do you think about the option to archive Instagram posts? Is it already available on your smartphone or has it not arrived yet?
