Vodafone is one of the largest mobile phone operators in the world, with a wide presence in areas such as the United States and Europe. Roaming basically occurs between these two regions, specifically 85% of this service. During 2015 the operator decided to end roaming in Europe and the United States with its contract plans, and now Vodafone offers free roaming in Europe and the US for prepaid
The British operator has reported a new benefit for users of this company, those with card or prepaid plans.
Roaming for the United States and Europe
Vodafone informs that from today the users of plans with prepaid rates Vodafone Yu, International Vodafone , in its voice and smartphone modes, and in Easy Vodafonewill include roaming in Europe and the United States. This means that we will no longer have to pay the extra expenses that the company imposed on us (it is not the only one that does it) and we will be able to use our rate anywhere in these two regions.
Countries on the list are those in the European Union and the United States, as well as Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland, Albania, and Turkey.
End of roaming in Europe
In April of this year, a vote was taken to end roaming in Europe, so on June 15 we will no longer pay these extra expenses and we will enjoy the benefits in all telephone companies. In addition, Vodafone includes countries where this regulation does not apply, such as the United States or Switzerland.
We have previously mentioned the rates of Vodafone Yu, which will enjoy this benefit. Here we present them to you:
- Yuser: 1, 2 GB + unlimited calls to Yu + 15 min to all + roaming for 10 euros.
- SuperYuser: 2 GB + unlimited calls to Yu + 30 min to all + roaming for 15 euro.
- MegaYuser: 3, 5 GB + unlimited calls to Yu + 60 min to all + roaming for 20 euros.
- Vodafone International Smartphone: with 2GB + 50 min of national and international calls + roaming through 15 euro.
With this, Vodafone secures a good number of new users and retains those it already has. A good strategy by the British company and one more step towards globalization. Let's hope that more companies in the rest of the world apply similar strategies to free roaming in Europe and the US for Vodafone prepaid
