A new Mi Band 3 hits the market. Today Xiaomi has launched the update of its successful electronic bracelet. It has implemented some changes compared to previous versions, and the truth is that they are appreciated .
This Mi Band 3 from Xiaomi comes with a list of new features that all users were looking forward to. There are things that have been left out, but we finally have a submersible activity bracelet with an OLED and touch screen .
Xiaomi Mi Band 3rd Generation
An electronic wristband that already has:
- Display: 0.78 inch OLED and touchscreen.
- Connectivity: NFC and Bluetooth 4.2.
- Ports and sensors: USB for charging, heart rate sensor, step and calorie quantifier.
- Battery: 110 mAh.
As you can see there are no big changes. The button that the previous generation had is maintained, but it blends with the screen. The button on this Mi Band 3 is an indentation on the bottom of the touchscreen .
In previous generations, Xiaomi sold the Mi Band in black with the possibility of changing the strap. Now, it gives us the possibility of purchasing the bracelet directly in one of the 3 colors that it has launched:
- Black.
- Navy blue.
- Oranged Red).
This new generation of Mi Band, will allow us to pay, thanks to the NFC that it includes. In this way, we will not even need to use our mobile to pay in a supermarket, metro ticket, or any other business. Although it is still unknown if this possibility will reach Europe .
Another great novelty that is appreciated is the possibility of submerging the Mi Band up to 50 meters deep. Remember that the previous generation could only be submerged up to 1 meter for 30 minutes .
Despite the increase in battery, we have gone from 70 mAh to 110 mAh, the autonomy of 20 days duration is maintained. We must bear in mind that having an OLED and touch screen consumes more resources than the previous generation .
As for the price, in China it is around 169 yuan for the simple version without NFC and 199 yuan for theMi Band 3 with NFC . At the change in euros, it would be around 22 euros for the basic version and 26 euros if we want NFC .
The Mi Band 3 from Xiaomi is official, but it remains to be confirmed if it will arrive in Europe, if we will also have the version with NFC and how much each one will cost in our country .
