The social network Tuenti has started tests to use secure connections using the protocol https, which is widely used on websites that handle private data.

Some of the users can already find within the Preferences->Account menu, the option to enable the secure connection. All the data that is handled is encrypted, improving security, especially if we are connected to a public network such as that of a university, library or cafeteria.
This is very important because if the data is not encrypted, there are programs that can access the information if they run on the same network.
It is only used for the web version since applications, such as Tuenti Social Messenger, use the protocol SSL to control security.
Surely this option will be available to the rest of the users, as these tests are satisfactory.
