Good news if you're considering a smartwatch through your current carrier. Today we learned that the Samsung Gear S, the first SIM-enabled watch, will be available through carriers.
With this new step from Samsung, your new Samsung Gear Swill be among the first wearables to be sold through retailers and through carriers at the same time, as smartphones and tablets already do.
This means that the watch can even be financed and we can choose between buying it for free or by contracting one of the rates of Vodafone, Orange and Movistar. Of course, we still do not know how much they will cost with these operators, although we do know what we will have to pay for it if we want it free: 399 euros.
Coinciding with the takeoff of the market
The availability of the Samsung Gear S with the operators is no coincidence because the market for wearables or smart watches is expected to take off in Spainin a short time and the data indicates that around 1.6 million of these types of devices will be sold this year.
It becomes especially relevant as the Christmas campaign approaches, dates highly anticipated by merchants since the most important purchases that take place in the year are made.
