We have already introduced you to MIUI 7, the new customization layer for Xiaomi smartphones, which after a couple of months of waiting is finally becoming a tangible reality. MIUI 7 is already starting to be available to Xiaomi users, with important improvements. And it has arrived two days ahead of the official date, originally scheduled for October 27.
This is a very deep customization of Android, almost approaching a proprietary operating system in certain ways. Although Xiaomi may include more models in the future, these will be the devices on the global market that will receive MIUI 7 in the coming weeks:
- Xiaomi Mi Note.
- Xiaomi Mi 4.
- Xiaomi Mi 3.
- Xiaomi Redmi 2 (and its Prime version).
- Xiamo Redmi 1S 3G.
- Xiami Redmi Note 4G.
- Xiaomi Mi Pad.
- Xiaomi Mi 4c/Mi 4i (Chinese Version).
- Xiaomi Mi 2/2S (Chinese Version).
- Xiaomi Mi Note Pro (Chinese Version).
- Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 (Chinese Version).
- Xiaomi Redmi 1S W (Chinese Version).

MIUI 7, many improvements
MIUI 7 improves system performance by up to 30% and increases autonomy by up to 10% Background applications now consume less RAM, and improved user interface and notification system. In other words, profound modifications have been carried out that are going to take all the muscle out of our smartphones and tablets.
On the other hand, a mode has been added for the use of devices by children, and the appearance has been renewed visual with new themes and wallpapers. Visually, it also highlights the possibility of changing the font size or using videos to identify calls from contacts. Finally, the performance of Wi-Fi connectivity has also been improved. Therefore, we are facing changes of considerable depth.

Wireless update
The MIUI 7.0.5.0 update file occupies more than 600 megabytes, and it will be distributed little by little among compatible terminals. At first it seems that the different models will receive it randomly. So MIUI 7 is already available for Xiaomi users. It's a matter of weeks before the update arrives!
This is certainly a highly desired update, which we hope will live up to expectations. At the moment MIUI 7 is distributed wirelessly, we don't have a file to perform the installation through a computer, but surely it will appear in a short time.
What do you think of MIUI 7? Do you like customization layers, or are you one of those who bets on a pure version of Android?
