Adobe Flash's days are numbered. Every day it is used less and another step is that from now on we will not need this plugin to perform a speed test on our connection.
So Speedtest is already testing a beta version that uses HTML5 technologyinstead of Adobe Flash . In addition, this famous test is used by other web pages, so we will soon see it in more sites.
With the new test we can measure the speed of our connection, both downloading and uploading. It also shows us our ping, the IP of the connection, the operator we have contracted and the node to which we are connected.
Like the Flash version of the speed test, the result is quite approximate as we have been able to verify.
Of course, at the moment it seems that does not work in all browsers. In Firefox, for example, it cannot be done. Surely it will be solved soon and all browsers in their latest versions will be able to run this test on the connection.

Adobe Flash, about to disappear
Ya Not even Adobe itself has any interest in developments in Adobe Flash Thus little by little all web services are making use of HTML5, a technology that comes standard in the browser, more secure, stable and without the need for plugins. No more installing a plugin in the browser to perform tasks or view content.
Speedtest is yet another step in ending Adobe Flash for good. HTML5 is here to stay.
