Yesterday we showed you a list of the 25 passwords that you should not use as they are very basic and easy to remember passwords and therefore little safe. Perhaps it is the case that you have one of the ones that appear there, so we recommend you change it and we are going to show you how to create secure passwords.
Having a secure password will always be life insurance against possible hacker attacks since they are very complicated or impossible to decipher. It is not the same to have the combination 123456 as a password than a sequence of numbers, letters and signs.
What should a strong password have?
We could classify the passwords into weak passwords and secure or strong passwords, the latter are the ones that everyone should use but unfortunately it is not.
While the weak ones are the typical “admin”, “root”, “1234”, “qwerty” and many more, the strong ones are longer passwords with alphanumeric characters and symbols.
As we already mentioned, a secure key must have numbers, lowercase and uppercase letters, punctuation marks, and various symbols. If you have more than 8 characters much better since it will be more difficult to guess and to break.

Obviously you can make a password that you can't even understand, but those are the best because even though they are hard to remember they are the strongest. In any case, there are generators of this type of keys if you don't want to be thinking about what to put or not.
An example of a safe, strong and long password could be for example: [email protected]+AG&¬\197., ?%. As you can see, all the things you should take into account when creating one are combined in a single key.
Tips to consider
There are a series of recommendations that you should take into account regarding the use of passwords, they are the following:
- Avoid using the same password for all your accounts and creating several different ones for all services.
- Do not forget to change the password regularly, that although they are strong and secure, it is always good to modify it at least once or with less frequently.
- Keep them in a safe place where only you can access them.
