This functionality, already present in other competing instant messaging apps, such as Telegram, will now reach WhatsApp users. At the moment it has already been seen in the beta 2.16.8.16 for iOS, as well as in WhatsApp for Windows Phone.
Obviously this functionality is deactivated by default at the moment, but soon we will see it in the final version of the app for all mobile operating systems.
In this way WhatsApp can send us through a chat or conversation all the news about the service, as well asalerts and other types of messages that you consider important.
To increase security, it has been confirmed that said chat will carry a signal that verifies the identity of the sender That is, it will be distinguishable from the rest so that we know that it is official and all its content is true. If not, we could fall into false conversations with malicious links, for example.
