Using the Madrid Metro has many advantages to reach our destination, but waiting and traveling can sometimes be maddening, therefore, travelers often use their smparthones to read, watch a video or do some homework.
The problem is that not all stations have 4G coverage, for this reason the main operators have been asked to work together to achieve it.
Currently there are about 100 stations out of the 300 that have some kind of mobile Internet coverage. Most of them are run by Metrocall, where they offer coverage to any operator in the country.
The large operators could launch suburban 4G

The proposal that Metro de Madrid has launched to the country's large operators is to be able to offer coverage to 100% of the stations, where they have shown interest in the project.
But the reality is that it is very difficult to reach all areas of the Madrid Metro, at least with 4G. One of the options being considered is to offer 3G or even 2G at certain points, thus maintaining coverage on most devices, a slow connection, but after all it is a connection.
Currently, the stations where you can have coverage on the Madrid Metro are the most busiest, such as Puerta del Sol, Gran Vía, Bilbao or Cuatro Caminos, as well as some areas of the AVE or line 8 that connects with the airport.
It is not yet known when the deployment could be launched, but it is clear that talks with the major operators are advancing to bring 4G to the Madrid Metro.
Is it a good initiative? Is there really a need for coverage in all metro areas?
