The blue bird's social network presents a drop in its service for several minutes now. As a general rule, when a social network goes down, we usually go to Twitter to confirm the news, but at this moment it is Twitter that fails.

Joking aside, the social network does not load tweets from the feed or profiles, nor does it play videos or GIFs, nor does it allow sending private messages or posting Tweets.

This new Twitter outage affects applications for Android, iPhone, iPad and the web version of the social network.

The fall of Twitter affects globally, and based on the following map that we are going to show, Spain is among the countries most affected by the interruption of the Twitter service.

At the moment the reason for this crash is unknown, since it is not a key day, but a normal day, but everything points to a failure in the servers of the social network. So the service is expected to be restored in the next few minutes.

If we want to enter Twitter right now, a dialog box appears at the bottom where we are told that "Tweets cannot be retrieved at this time. Please Please try again later".

There are some social networks that have suffered failures in their services for hours, many hours. It already happened to Facebook, where it had a domino effect and WhatsApp and Instagram were also affected in a drop that lasted one day.

Telegram is not far behind, several months ago, almost a year now, it had a fall where it was almost 12 hours without service.

Let's remember that Twitter has 336 million active users each month, a figure updated to January 2020. More are published every day than 500 million tweets on the blue bird's social network.

Although they seem very high figures, they are not up to the 2,000 million WhatsApp users or the 500 million TikTok users, or even the more than 1,000 active users that Instagram already has. But there is a clear winner in this "competition", and it is Facebook, which today has an incredible number of 2.500 active users each month.

A figure that is sometimes beyond our control, and when we see it we understand why governments look closely at this type of company.
