Huawei has just released a new version of a tablet introduced a few months ago. This is the Huawei MatePad Pro 5G, which now comes with 5G connectivity and features attractive techniques, such as the presence of a screen with 90% occupancy of the front panel
The 5G version of the Huawei MatePad Pro 5G brings some differences when it comes to internal aspects, so we did find some improvements in different details. For the rest we are dealing with the same tablet, even aesthetically it is the same device.
For example, compared to the Huawei MediaPad Pro WiFi and LTE, this 5G mode offers a single version of RAM memory and an option top storage. There will therefore be 2 purchase possibilities compared to 5 for the WiFi and 4G version.
Of the rest, many of the technical specifications of the Huawei MatePad Pro without 5G connectivity are repeated, so you probably already know them from when it was introduced. In any case, we are going to detail all your hardware so that you take it into account:
- Display: 10.8-inch with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels and Infinity-O Display technology.
- Processor: Kirin 990.
- RAM memory: 8 GB.

One of the most notable features in the presentation is the presence of a screen that occupies 90% of the front of the device, largely thanks to the reduction of all borders to a minimum and the front camera embedded in the screen.
It should be noted that it offers a high quality surround sound system thanks to 4 speakers located in the lower and upper sections. In this multimedia section, the presence of a quad microphone on one of the sides and the noise cancellation arranged in the main camera module of the Huawei MatePad Pro 5G are also striking.
The Huawei MediaPad Pro 5G can be charged via cable or wirelessly, in the first case it offers a 40W charge and in the the second up to 27W. Of course, there is no lack of reverse charging with which you can charge other devices through the tablet itself.
Huawei MatePad Pro 5G, price and availability
In this presentation, a much-awaited detail has been revealed until now, and the 4G and WiFi modality of this tablet was also not disclosed: the price. We now know the prices of both the Huawei MatePad Pro introduced in November 2019 and this 5G version:
- MatePad Pro 6 GB/128 GB WiFi: €549.
- MatePad Pro 8 GB/256 GB WiFi: €649.
- MatePad Pro 8 GB/256 GB WiFi with M-Pencil: €749.
- MatePad Pro 6GB/128GB LTE: €599.
- MatePad Pro 8 GB/256 GB LTE: €699.
- MatePad Pro 5G 8 GB/256 GB WiFi: €799.
- MatePad Pro 5G 8 GB/512 GB WiFi: €949.
While the Huawei MatePad Pro tablets will arrive in April of this year at the indicated prices, there is still no official availability date for the version with 5G connectivity, although it is a fact that may be known very soon.
