How to set a reminder on Netflix

The streaming platform of Netflix has become the queen of on-demand online content options, but there is something that little people know and it is the fact that set a reminder.

As is well known, reminders exist under the basic premise of remembering an event of interest, for example, in Google Calendar there are reminders for birthdays, trips (plane tickets) or even meetings.

On Netflix there are reminders, but we already anticipate that only on the web version of the streaming platform. Reminders cannot be customized in apps, at least for now.

That is, the reminders that currently exist on Netflix are notifications based on our searches and the series, movies, and documentaries we have watchedwithin the platform.

For example, if the new season of our favorite series premieres on November 1, it will be the platform itself that reminds us and under no circumstances is an alert or reminder allowed manually within Netflix.

In addition, we can create alarms and reminders in Google Calendar or other similar applications to receive alerts on the day of the premiere.

Netflix Reminders on the web version

When we access the web version of the leading streaming content platform and search for the title of a series, film or documentary for which we already know the release date, theappears. "Remind Me" option.

If we click there, the reminder is activated, and we will be notified on the day of the premiere in all the places where we have our Netflix account, that is, on our mobile, tablet, PC, etc. as the reminder is saved in "My List".

If we choose to use our mobile when enjoying Netflix, then in this case we must pay attention to the bottom bar:

1. It will be there where the list of novelties and premieres that Netflix considers to be of our interest appears.

Once we select one of the recommendations or reminders, will take us to the information of said content and we will be able to see the trailers, the episodes, see similar options, play content, etc.

If our laptop or desktop PC has Windows 10 then it is recommended to access Netflix through its own app for this operating system, and the reminders are located as follows:

1. On the left side, above, 3 horizontal lines appear.

1. Once we press those stripes, a menu is displayed in which the notifications about news and premieres related to our tastes appear.
2. If we click on "Notifications", the menu expands and all the new releases and news that Netflix detects that are consistent with our pleasures.

If we decide on one of those reminders, pressing takes us to their private section and from there we can see the episodes, trailers, similar options, etc.

Another option, both for mobile and PC, is to add that series, movie or documentary to our list. In this way, the content will be activated as it is released.
