The new Realme 6 and Realme 6 Pro are the latest commitment from the Chinese manufacturer in the competitive mid-range, bringing its own price specifications superior to the general public.
For example, the Realme 6 and 6 Pro are committed to a 90 Hz screen, which seems to be extended in 2020 to many smartphones. By updating the image 90 times per second, instead of the usual 60 Hz, the fluidity is greater and the eyes are less tired.
They are similar screens in almost all aspects, the Realme 6 mounts a panel of 6.5 inches that occupies 90.5 % of the front, while the Realme 6 Pro rises to 6.6 inches, with 90.6% utilization. In both cases the resolution is FHD+ (2,400 x 1,080 pixels)

The selfie cameras are embedded in a perforation of the panel, larger in the Realme 6 Pro, as it has a double sensor.
Like the recent Huawei P40 Lite, the fingerprint reader is located on the side, and not below the screen. An understandable sacrifice to keep the price adjusted, although the side fingerprint readers have never been quite convincing.
Realme 6 and 6 Pro, technical sheet
We are before very similar smartphones, in which some aspects such as the processor or the configuration of the cameras change. Let's see the specifications of the Realme 6 and 6 Pro compared between the two phones:
- Screen: 6.5-inch (Realme 6) or 6.6-inch (Realme 6 Pro), FHD+ resolution.
- Processor: MediaTek Helio G90T (Realme 6) or Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G (Realme 6 Pro).

4 cameras with disparate configurations
Realme has made the quad camera one of its hallmarks, and it does not want to leave it aside in any model. However, since we are in the mid-range, the Realme 6 and 6 Pro use different sensors, to fit the prices sought:
- Realme 6: 64 MP f/1.8 (main) + 8 MP f/2.3 (119º wide angle) +2 MP f /2.4 (macro) + monochrome sensor f/2.4 (bokeh).
- Realme 6 Pro: 64 MP f/1.8 (main) + 8 MP f/2.3 (119º wide angle) + 12 MP f/2.5 (20x zoom) +2 MP f/2.4 (macro).
In short, the telephoto sensor of the Realme 6 Pro, which allows you to zoom up to 20x, in the Realme 6 it is replaced by a monochrome sensor that helps the bokeh effect or portrait mode.

In any case, and in the absence of testing the results, they seem like some convincing cameras for the mid-range, which also have a mode improved when taking night photos.
For selfies we have a 16 MP f/2.0 camera in the Realme 6, which in the Realme 6 Pro is accompanied by an 8 MP f/2.2 sensor with a 105º angle, useful for that all the members come out in the group selfies.
Different processors and load at 30 W
Inside these smartphones we find different chips, the Realme 6 uses a MediaTek Helio G90T (8 cores up to 2.05 GHz) and the 6 Pro mounts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G (8 cores up to 2.3 GHz).
Another aspect that the Chinese brand always takes care of is the fast charging, in this case 30 W, capable of charging in just 1 the 4,300 mAh battery that integrate both models.
At the connectivity level we find a port USB C and the traditional 3.5 mm jackfor headphones. The chosen operating system is Android 10, which in this case uses the Realme UI interface, instead of ColorOS, which until now has borrowed from its "sister" brand Oppo.

Realme 6 and 6 Pro, prices and availability
The Realme 6 and 6 Pro have been presented in India, so we still do not have official prices in euros for Spain. If we can see how they would look at the change, although being aware that the price will depend on various factors, such as taxes:
- Realme 6 - 4 GB/64 GB: from 12,999 rupees (about 160 euros to change).
- Realme 6 Pro - 6 GB/64 GB: from 16,999 rupees (about 210 euros to change).
The Realme 6 will be available in pearl white and blue colors, while the Realme 6 Pro will be sold in orange and blue.
With the Realme X50 Pro 5G for the high-end range, the Realme 6 and 6 Pro must compete in quality-price A segment where the Chinese manufacturer does a good job, and that during 2020 it has the challenge of making it known to consumers, to subtract sales from rivals of the likes of Xiaomi or Honor.
What do you think of the Realme 6 and 6 Pro? Do you think the brand's bet will be successful in the mid-range?
