If we look at the alarm clock from the front, we will see that it has a huge screen in which multiple icons are integrated, which light up or they are turned off depending on the connection status, whether it is WiFi, Bluetooth or auxiliary cable.

The display is dominated by information of the hours and minutes, which can be seen from far away thanks to its size.

On the back we find the power outlet (this smart speaker does not have a battery), the 3.5mm jack connectionand, finally, a USB port that offers us a power of 10 watts (5 volts and 2 amps).

Alexa, as we have already commented on other occasions, has multiple options such as the "Skills", which give us access to to numerous third-party services via voice: streaming music, news, home automation, online shopping, food delivery…

Large screen and useful information at a glance

Although the brightness of the screen is manually adjustable, we would have liked it to integrate a light sensor that automatically adapts to the situations light The ability to customize the style in which the time is displayed would also have been nice, although that would require other display technology.

The sound complies, but does not stand out

As we have mentioned before, although the Energy Sistem Smart Speaker Wake Up has the shape of an alarm clock, inside it first and foremost it is a smart speaker.

The maximum volume for a smart speaker of this size isn't too loud, but it does makes the sound fill the entire room The sound quality is not maintained, at maximum volume the speaker distorts the audio and we have found the "sweet spot" at level 3 out of 5.

It is a sound that is correct, but not spectacular, we must also realize that it is a loudspeaker whose main mission is to serve as a assistant at the bedside, which is really convenient thanks to the Alexa integration that it has.

Despite the fact that Energy Sistem has a multitude of apps in the Play Store, we found it really useful that the Smart Speaker Wake Up has a specific app that makes up for some shortcomings that we find in other speakers.

The app is called Energy WiFi and if it's already interesting with one of these speakers, it'll be even more interesting if youwe have other devices with WiFi connectivity of the brand.

Through the application we can connect some streaming music platforms, among other services, to play them more easily on our speaker.

Unlike Google's smart speakers, where we can play content directly from music services like Spotify or Tidal, the Amazon Echo is a more complex task if we don't have a Spotify Premium account or Amazon Music Unlimited, linked to our account.

Energy Sistem has another app called Energy Music, with multiple options through which we can equalize the audio. In such a way that, depending on the speaker we have, the sound values will be adjusted so that the reproduction is the best possible.

A good device, but not such a good speaker

The Energy System Smart Speaker Wake Up is really complete as charging center for our smartphone via wireless charging or USB, since that has a connection on the back with an amperage of up to 2 A.

It will convince us if we are not too purists with sound and are looking for a smart speaker with an alarm clock, because smart speakers, although it is true that they also act as alarm clocks, visually they do not contribute much.
