Google launches a new home device at Google I/O 2016. It's Google Home, a speaker with microphone that acts as a personal assistant, in the style of the Amazon Echo.
We can place this discreet device at home and we will send orders by voice. Obviously it makes use of Google Now and Google Assistant, and all the news that has just been submitted.
The Google Home voice assistant is fully integrated with all of our Android devices, including phones and tablets, as well as Google services. The assistant will be listening to everything that happens in the home and responds to the command of “Ok Google”
We can give Google Home commands like “Ok Google, play the morning music list”, “Ok Google, how do you say Apple in Spanish?” or “Hey Google, send a message to Luis”. The same as the mobile, but at a more intrusive level, inside our home.
In addition, it has compatibility with Google Cast, that is, we can perform tasks synchronized with Chromecast, if we have one of these in home, or with Nest. We can also control light bulbs, security cameras and other home automation devices directly.
Google Home, price and availability
At the moment Google Home has not been announced in full detail. We know it will arrive at the end of the year, although we don't know what its price Likewise, it has not given details about its availabilityin Spain, since these products often do not arrive.
We hope that soon Google will reveal these unknowns about this interesting product.
