Although we sometimes underestimate it, computer security is one of the main risks in our society when surrounded by all kinds of electronic devices. While it is true that there are apparently more secure platforms than others, they all have their vulnerabilities, and recently we have learned that many Macs are in danger due to their outdated firmware
In general, Apple products are usually treated as the most secure by many users and some media, although as they said, not they get rid of bugs like the one in iOS 10 that allowed you to steal your passwords and credit cards. In addition, Apple itself acknowledged having found more than 200 vulnerabilities, which logically they proceeded to solve before reporting them publicly.

Now, after analyzing more than 70,000 Mac devices (iMac, MacBook and derivatives, MacPro…) a cyber security research firm has discovered a vulnerability in the firmware of these devices. Specifically, the problem is related to outdated EFI software, which is responsible for starting and running Apple's operating system.
The research firm itself has also added that this problem directly affects Linux and Windows, and even more seriously than in the case of Mac. Even so, since the tests have been carried out only on Apple devices, and given the nature of Linux and Windows that can be installed on any device, it is difficult to measure the real scope in these last two cases, somewhat much easier in the case of those from Cupertino.
For their part, Apple has already confirmed that they are aware of the problem and are working on a solution As you can see, many Macs are currently in danger due to its outdated firmware, and although they should not take long to receive a solution, in the case of Linux and Windows there is currently no official statement.
