Thousands of web pages are down due to an attack on a popular Internet hosting company. Host Europe, formerly Red Coruna, suffered an attack that left no access to the websites hosted on servers located in Spain.
Websites as popular as Japonismo, Wwwhatsnew, Ayudawp, Blogpocket and a list of thousands of web pages are without access at this time. From Host Europe they have confirmed that it is a DDoS attack on their servers. The attack has been going on for hours now, so it's something serious.
For those who don't know what a DDoS attack is,, it is roughly, a lot of simultaneous requests to the servers causing that finally collapse. The company seems to have suffered several in recent months, leaving its customers without services and, therefore, the users of said websites.
Complaints on social networks are abundant while Host Europe tries to solve it and, complying with the law, they will have to make a compensation to their clientsA fall of this type causes serious losses in the webs that it affects, ranging from blogs to electronic commerce. The websites that are hosted by Host Europe cannot do anything except that they have a recovery system with another company.
Host Europe is working to mitigate this powerful DDoS attack that they are currently receiving, something difficult to solve but they must act quickly to recover the service.
