Bad news for those who were looking forward to getting behind the wheel (and the trigger, and the bat…) as protagonists of GTA V in their next-generation computers and consoles. The successful Rockstar title, which was due to arrive in October for PC, PS4 and XBOX One, delays its release date and will not be available until November.
In fact, Rockstar has not given any dates. But just as Amazon leaked a release date (October 28) a while ago, now the Coolshock store says it won't arrive until 14 November. Just over two weeks that for fans is a lifetime.
The folks at Rockstar are hard at work bringing everything created in GTA V to next-gen consoles as promised at E3as a result of public demands. But the work is costing more than expected and that has forced them to delay the launch.
And it's not just about the technical work of bringing GTA V to next-generation consoles and PCs without losing quality (which too), but about all the work ofmarketing and distribution.
And we all remember the tremendous success that GTA V had when it went on sale for PS3 and XBOX 360, generating800 million dollars in sales on its first day on sale. So, with the anticipation that the avalanche will be similar, there is a lot of work to do before putting it up for sale.
