We continue to learn interesting news that we will see soon on WhatsApp but for now we have to settle for knowing that they exist. The last thing that has been announced is that WhatsApp will have stickers and will improve the search for GIFs.
Although the WhatsApp GIFS section has already existed on WhatsApp for some time, the most notable novelty is related to the stickers, something that has been rumored for a long time and has even been the target of some scams.
The stickers will finally arrive
Although we still don't know which specific stickers can be sent or received, we finally know that the stickers will soon be available on WhatsApp thanks to a new screenshot that reveals their existence.
Thanks to WABetaInfo we know that there will be a WhatsApp section for iOS where the user can see the stickers they have recently sent, that is, a kind of history where anyone can find out which were the last stickers they sent.
Although there are no images of how it will be implemented in Android, the logical thing would be for the interface to be the same or similar. Likewise, there will surely already be a pre-loaded gallery in WhatsApp or a sticker search engine so that users can choose which one to send.
The new functionalities do not end there as they will also will improve the WhatsApp GIFs section since its design will be improved, there will be categories and a recent GIFs section, among other things.
Apart from these two novelties, we also learned this morning that WhatsApp is preparing the arrival of filters for photographs and other types of multimedia content like videos or GIFS, although we don't know the official release date either.
But the million-dollar question would be, when will the stickers and GIFS improvements come to WhatsApp? Well, for now we will have to wait a while since first both functionalities will first have to go through the beta version and they are still not available there.
