A little more than 10 days ago we announced here that a bug had been discovered that affected around 95% of the devices with the Android operating system. That means your device may be unprotected because of this bug.
They have recently created an application that basically what it does is analyze your Android terminal and determine if it is vulnerable or not to the serious Stagefright security flaw, which is what it's called.

After the discovery of this vulnerability, device manufacturers have been working in a hurry to release updates or patches to correct the flaw in their Android terminals.
What does Stagefright affect?
The vulnerability that affects up to 95% of Androids is related to a security hole found in MMS or multimedia messages. Being something that all Androids have, that is why the percentage is so high.
Thanks to the application Stagefright Detector App,an app compatible with Android devices, you will be able to know if you are exposed to this security flaw. The application only has a button that you must press to start the analysis.
Once finished you will be able to know whether or not you are affected by said vulnerability, if you are protected you can rest assured, otherwise you should go to the menu settings/ SMS and MMS settings and disable the option to receive or retrieve automatically.

If you can't find it, it is possible that by entering the messages application on your device you have that option. This way you will be temporarily safe until new patches or updates are released.
