Sometimes an idea that seems absurd ends up winning over consumers, and Amazon Dash is a clear example. Now the Amazon Dash Button arrives in Spain, a button to buy your products with a single click Yes, the idea is as simple as it seems. We have a physical button for each specific item and, when pressed, Amazon sends us a unit automatically.
Amazon does not want to be just a book and technology store, which is how many users see it. It sells absolutely everything and, in fact, it has recently opened a new online supermarket. Well, with the Amazon Dash Button we can buy everyday products, for example, cleaning (detergent, dishwasher), personal hygiene (tissues, condoms), food (jam, infusions)… we can even ask for plasticine!
Right now, there are 24 types of Dash Button, each associated with a brand, but more may appear if successful in Spain. We have to configure them from the mobile to choose the exact product that we are going to receive when pressing it, and they need to be connected to the home Wi-Fi to work. They come with a support that allows you to stick them where you need them: next to the washing machine to ask for detergent, in the bathroom to ask for toilet paper…
Once we place the order, we receive a notification on our mobile in case it was an error, or if we want to modify it. And we are not going to receive dozens of products if our children or pets decide to press the Amazon Dash Button repeatedly, since a new unit is not sent until the previous one has arrived.
The truth is that Amazon now wants to compete even with Spotify, so we are not surprised that it continues to expand. The Amazon Dash Buttons, before arriving in Spain, have been successful in other countries, so it is to be hoped that they will work here as well. Of course, we must be Amazon Premium subscribers to be able to use them. In return, they have no cost, although we paid 4.99 euros for them, we get our money back when we use them for the first time.
The arrival of Amazon Dash in Spain seems good news to us, although the truth is that it is a bit strange to buy in this way. We cannot deny that it is comfortable, despite the fact that the number of products available at the moment is somewhat limited.
