Samsung Galaxy M31: specifications and price

The new Samsung Galaxy M31 is the commitment of the South Korean manufacturer in the mid-range, which is now coming to Spain offering a quad camera, a good screen and a generous battery at a competitive price.

The Samsung Galaxy M31 mounts a 6.4-inch screen with FHD+ resolution (2,340 x 1,080 pixels) on a Super AMOLED panel that offers vivid colors. The processor is Samsung's own, an 8-core Exynos 9611.

In Spain the terminal will be sold in a single configuration of 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, at least initially at the moment, although it will accept microSD cards up to 512 GB to expand the space.

The 6,000 mAh battery will offer charging at 15 W, with the fast charger included in the Galaxy M31 retail box. At the security level, it will have a rear fingerprint reader, and not under the screen itself, as more and more mid-range mobiles do.

Smartphones such as the Samsung Galaxy A51 5G and A71 5G are popularizing 5G networks, but the Galaxy M31 maintains 4G to obtain a reasonable price.

The new Samsung Galaxy M31 offers quite complete features for its price, let's see all the details of its hardware to get to know it better:

4 cameras with different objectives

The Samsung Galaxy M31 includes 4 sensors to get good photos in any situation. Although we do not have a telephoto lens to zoom (more typical of the high-end), we do have a versatile rear camera:

1. 64 MP f/1.8: The main camera, which will take better photos, especially when the light is poor.
2. 8 MP f/2.2: a 123º ultra-wide angle that allows you to pick up more elements in the image.
3. 5 MP f/2.4: the macro sensor designed for photos a few centimeters from the subject.
4. 5 MP f/2.2: depth camera, to improve the bokeh effect or portrait mode.

The selfie camera is a 32 MP, located in a small central notch. Allows face unlock, but without any depth sensor to increase security.

Samsung Galaxy M31, price and availability

The new Samsung Galaxy M31 goes on sale in Spain next May 6 of 2020 at a price of279 euros in three colors: Just Red (red), Ocean Blue (navy blue) and Space Black (black).

It can be imagined that it will reach various physical and online stores, although Samsung has indicated that it will offer the reservation through Amazon, something logical given that the launch will be with the coronavirus quarantine still in force.

In general, the Samsung Galaxy M31 is an attractive mid-range, although we cannot deny that the segment is competitive, and that in Spain has tough rivals like the Huawei P40 Lite.
