The HP OMEN 27i is a new model of gaming monitor, which with its high frequency of 165 Hz refresh rate is especially oriented towards eSports, where every millisecond can be the key to winning the game.
The panel of the HP OMEN 27i is of the IPS type, with a size of 27 inches and 2K resolution (2,560 x 1,440 pixels), without jumping to 4K.
In 27 inches, 4K resolution is no longer uncommon, but the HP OMEN 27i stays at 2K with competitive gaming in mind. Taking advantage of 165 Hz in 2K is possible with a good graphics card, but doing it at higher resolutions would be difficult.
Thanks to the IPS panel vertical and horizontal viewing angles of 178º are achieved, and reproduce the 98% of the DCI-P3 standard color, maintaining a response time of 1 ms via Overdrive.
The HP OMEN 27i is designed to be used together with an Nvidia graphics card, as it integrates G-Sync, which synchronizes the screen refresh with the frames generated by the game. In this way, graphic defects are eliminated and the response time in the games is reduced.
At the design level, the HP OMEN 27i opts for slim bezels, and is adjustable both in height and inclination. In addition to the included stand, it is possible to hang it on a 100 x 100 mm VESA arm.
At the back there is a circle of RGB LEDs, which allows you to configure ambient lighting if you play at night. Control is via the OMEN Command Center software, so you can synchronize with other OMEN devices, such as mice, keyboards, or headsets.

In addition, it includes a USB hub, with two USB 3.0 outputs to connect peripherals without having to take the cable to the PC tower.
On the other hand, speakers are not integrated, which can be useful at times, although in gaming it is normal to use a more advanced sound system than the one that can be mounted on a monitor.
