During this weekend we will be able to play PUBG for free, the popular multiplayer shooter where a total of 100 participants fight on a large stage until only one is left standing.
PUBG, short for PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, will offer free access via the Steam digital store for PC Specifically, the weekend covers from Friday 4 to Monday 8 June, beginning access at 7:00 p.m. (Spanish peninsular time).
The normal price of PUB is 29.99 euros, and during the event it will have a 50% discount, in case players want to continue playing when the free weekend ends.
PUBG is the direct predecessor of Fortnite, as it imitated many of its mechanics. It's a chance to meet the original, which offers a much more realistic war setting than the colorful design of Fortnite.

Although the world of gaming moves fast, and Valorant threatens to become the star of online multiplayer in the coming months, the PUBG experience is still very interesting, and has been polished since its launch.
Of course, the only version that will be free this weekend is the Windows version, PS4, Xbox One and Google Stadia are not included in the promotion this time.
As usual in the world of PC gaming, our computer must meet some hardware requirements for PUBG to run correctly, which are not very high, but not within the reach of basic computers either.
The minimum requirements of PUBG are these:
- Processor: Intel Core i5-4430 or AMD FX-6300.
- RAM: 8 GB.
- Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 2 GB or AMD Radeon R7 370 2 GB.
- Disk: 30 GB free.
- Operating system: Windows 7 or higher, 64-bit.
The recommended requirements of the game are as follows:
- Processor: Intel Core i5-6600K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600.
- RAM: 16 GB.
- Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 3 GB or AMD Radeon RX 580 4 GB.
- Disk: 30 GB free.
- Operating system: Windows 7 or higher, 64-bit.
If our computer is not capable of running the standard version, there is also PUBG Lite for computers, although it works separately, and is not part of the free weekend.
To enjoy the weekend with PUBG for free, all you have to do is download it from Steam, the digital store for PC video games. Then we can uninstall it so it doesn't take up disk space, or buy it if it convinces us and we want to continue playing.
