Oppo Reno 4 and Reno 4 Pro: specifications and prices

The Oppo Reno 4 and Oppo Reno 4 Pro are now official, two smartphones from the Chinese manufacturer that aim at the upper-middle range offering 5G connectivity as one of its great attractions, and Oppo's 65W fast charging.

The Oppo Reno 4 are quite similar, in the Reno 4 the screen is 6, 4 inches at 60 Hz, which goes up a 6.5-inch 90Hz on the Reno 4 Pro. Both are FHD+ resolution AMOLED panels(2,400 x 1,080 pixels) with a hole in the upper left area where the selfie camera is located.

In command we have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765, an 8-core processor that is helping to popularize 5G outside the most premium range. At your disposal you have 8 GB or 12 GB of RAM, while the storage is 128 GB or 256 GB.

The flagship model of the brand is the Oppo Find X2 Pro, and with the new ones it expands the options. In this case, the phones include triple rear camera, although the sensors are quite different among them.

In addition, to the usual colors such as black and white are added the "Glow" versions of the Reno 4 Pro, very colorful and with a large screen print.

Reno 4 and Reno 4 Pro Specifications

We are looking at two similar smartphones, although the Reno 4 Pro offers better rear cameras and a slightly larger screen. Of course, in exchange it mounts a single selfie camera, while the Reno 4 brings a double sensor. These are your details:

1. Display: 6.4-inch 60Hz (Reno 4) or 6.5-inch 90Hz (Reno 4 Pro), AMOLED FHD+ panel.
2. Processor: 8-core Snapdragon 765 5G.
3. RAM memory: 8 GB or 12 GB.

5. Rear camera: 48 MP+ 8 MP + 2 MP (Reno 4) or 48 MP + 13 MP + 12 MP (Reno 4 Pro).
6. Front camera: 32 MP + 2 MP (Reno 4) or 32 MP (Reno 4 Pro).
7. Connectivity: 5G.
8. Ports and sensors: USB C and on-screen fingerprint sensor.
9. Battery: 4,000 mAh with 65 W charging.
10. Operating system: Android 10 with ColorOS 7.2 layer.

Triple cameras, but different

Both smartphones have three sensors on the back, but with important differences, even in the main one. Both are 48 MP (a Sony IMX 586), but the Reno 4 Pro adds optical stabilization. These are the details:

1. Reno 4 Pro: 48 MP f/1.7 OIS main + 12 MP ultra-wide + 13 MP telephoto.
2. Reno 4: 48 MP Main + 8 MP Ultra Wide + 2 MP Depth.

Regarding the selfie camera, the Reno 4 includes 32 MP + 2 MP sensors, while the Reno 4 Pro is satisfied with a single 32 MP camera, in both cases embedded in a hole of the screen.

Under the screen itself we have the fingerprint reader, which will offer a secure unlocking.

Oppo Reno 4 and Reno 4 Pro, price and availability

For the moment, the new Oppo Reno 4 have been introduced in China, without us knowing if they are going to arrive in Spain or the price at which they would. These are the launch prices in China:

1. Reno 4 of 8 GB + 128 GB for 2,999 yuan (375 euros to change).
2. Reno 4 of 8 GB + 256 GB for 3,299 yuan (about 410 euros).
3. Reno 4 Pro 8 GB + 128 GB for 3,799 yuan (about 475 euros).
4. Reno 4 Pro 12 GB + 256 GB for 4,299 yuan (about 537 euros).

The Oppo Reno 4 will be sold in 5 colors: traditional black and white, Glow versions in bright red and blue, and a green one called Glitter, in collaboration with Pantone, the brand dedicated to color management.

Regarding the standard Reno 4, it comes in blue, light purple, and black versions, which do not display the flashy texts of the Glow versions on the back cover.

In principle, the Oppo Reno 4 and Reno 4 Pro are interesting, but it is not clear if they are going to reach Spain, because the previous version did not. Oppo is committed to our market, but choosing the products that best suit each moment.
